I had a baby photo shoot yesterday and enjoyed it so much.  This little guy was so much fun to photograph and oh, was he fast!  I had to change my game plan based on his crawling skills!  I love it when I am challenged!

People always ask me how I manage to get so many action shots.  The truth is that I take tons of photos!  If I am shooting with just a point and shoot camera (this photo was taken with my little 6 year old digital camera that I keep with me all the time and believe me, it is a dinosaur!) I turn off any automatic settings - just point and shoot; it is that easy.  

I love photographing High School Seniors.  I always take traditional portraits, but I also like to have fun and try new things.

If you visit here often, then you will know that I have been without my computer for two weeks;  I was dying without my creative outlet.  This photo was on my camera when I downloaded it and I thought I would share.  I took this photo because I loved the way the tree looked through my front window, nothing special or technical just a view that I wanted to remember on a warm beautiful Maine fall afternoon.

Chase Jarvis Rocks!  I don't have an iPhone but I do have a small point and shoot camera and I have been inspired to use it...EVERYDAY; it now lives in my purse.  Chase Jarvis' new book, "The Best Camera is the One That is With You", proves you that don't need an expensive camera to document your life - Just use the camera that is with you EVRYDAY!

Everyone knows that children do not like to sit still.  However, they love to play with their favorite toys.  I was able to snap this photo when my reluctant 4 year old did not want his photo taken just by adding a couple props - his favorite dinosaurs. 

I feel so lucky that I am able to meet and photography such wonderful families.  I had a great time photographing a mother with her two grown sons on Saturday. 

With every photo session I shoot, the more I fall in love with what I do. 

I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family yesterday morning. It was a beautiful Maine fall day and everyone had a great time. Have I mentioned that I am loving my new "JOB"!

I set up an in house studio for clients who would like natural light black and white portraits. I used my boys as stand ins to test lighting and location.  Here is one of the photos from the test shoot.

I found an old SLR 35mm camera that I had bought years and years ago from a yardsale.  Not sure how old the film was inside the camera but I decided to use it all up.  This was one of the photos I snapped.  The film was old and brittle but it still had life!
